About the uAlberta Thesis LaTeX Template

Writing a thesis can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to formatting. The uAlberta Thesis LaTeX Template is designed to help University of Alberta graduate students create a thesis that meets all Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) formatting requirements. This template eliminates the hassle of manual formatting, allowing you to focus on your research.

This template was developed to address common challenges faced by graduate students when formatting their theses. Many students struggle with:

• Ensuring compliance with FGSR guidelines

• Formatting citations, references, and equations properly

• Maintaining a consistent structure throughout the document

By using LaTeX, this template automates many of these processes, ensuring a professional and polished final thesis document.
